Route Map

a jet-setting life

America calls yet again — whether for business or leisure. Come May 5 and Jet Airways, will take off
between Mumbai and San Francisco and back, stopping en route at Shanghai. And when that happens, Jet will become the first Indian carrier to operate non-stop daily flights to Shanghai from Mumbai and onward to San Francisco. What this flight will also do is to cut down the flying time between India and the US West Coast, besides linking Mumbai and Shanghai, two Asian financial and commercial hubs.
Jet’s new trans-Pacific flight to San Francisco International Airport will also be its fourth daily long-haul departure from India to North America. Jet is already flying to New York, Newark and Toronto. And here’s how you’ll be flying: on board the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft complete with flying suites in First Class. America has never been closer!

Holiday hotspot

Anita dongre,
fashion designer

I love travelling but when I am going for a holiday, my favourite destination would always be any place in Europe. Italy would be my first pick hands down. This place is after my heart with all its quaint charm. Being a designer myself, I love visiting a place so synonymous with style, fashion and clothes. And all this not to mention the food, which is simply ravishing. Nearer home, another favourite place I love to go for a holiday in, is Thailand with its sand and sun. The people there are very courteous, and add to the pleasures of the visitor. Fabulous is the only word I can use to describe their food. It is also definitely cheaper than any place in Europe.
