Cyprus delights

If you like sun ‘n’ sand vacations, head for Cyprus this winter. Cox & Kings has a package that’s valid up to March 31, 2010. For about Rs 24,630 per person on twin sharing basis, the 7-night and 8-day package includes 3-star accommodation, buffet breakfasts, rental for a self-driven car (with motor vehicle insurance) and taxes. The price does not include airfare but you could take the Emirates flight between Calcutta and Larnaca (with a stopover at Dubai). Once you land, you get the rented car at Larnaca Airport and can drive an unlimited number of kilometres though you pay for the gas. Here’s what the itinerary looks like: after spending 2 nights at Larnaca, you drive to the Troodos Mountains (via Nicosia) for an overnight stay and then on to Paphos and Limassol for 2 nights each. Take in the beautiful sights of the ancient city of Kition in Larnaca, the Cyprus Museum and The Holy, Royal and Stavropegic Monastery of Kykkos in Nicosia and the legendary Tombs of the Kings in Paphos. Holiday hotspot

Shahnaz Husain, beauty expert

My favourite holiday destination in India is Nainital. The natural beauty of the place and its serene lakes make it a favourite. I have been to Nainital many times. I also love visiting London, almost a second home to me. I visit London at least three to four times in a year. In fact, I went there earlier in the month to receive an award (Asian Women Power 100 Award by Lloyds TSB Jewel). I would love to visit Morocco sometime. I have heard a lot about the beautiful landscapes of the place ranging from deserts to plains to mountains and am looking forward to going there.
